The Budd Center: SMU Simmons School
INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN
The trauma of living in poverty too often causes children to struggle academically. As part of the Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education & Human Development at Southern Methodist University, The Budd Center: Involving Communities in Education addresses challenges by equipping schools and nonprofits to work together and meet the extraordinary needs of children living in poverty.
As a new center, The Budd Center wanted their brand communications to fully express their passion for helping children. We started by establishing a core message "Community Builds Kids" that was action-oriented and positive. Visually, we leveraged the equity in the silhouette theme currently used by the Simmons School and created a typographic solution to reinforce the core message and objective. The end result is a campaign design that conveys a youthful enthusiasm for children growing out of poverty.
